Our children learned how to take bus and train with their parents. For some children, it was their first time taking public transport and using an EZ-Link card. We all learned how to wait in the queue with the public, tap our EZ-Link cards, what to do when on the train/bus. and move around as a group. What an interesting and meaningful experience!
Schedules were used to help our children know what to expect during the outing and what the upcoming activity is. This provides predictability for them, which helps them to remain calm.
"Mummy look! The dump truck is too full!"
Following what our children are playing with and building an interaction around their interests will encourage and motivate our children to increase engagement with parents. It also teaches our children that it is more fun to play together!
"Look out, I'm coming through!"
Thank you parents for coming to the outing with your children. It was a great learning opportunity for them to experience different kinds of transport in the community! We would also like to extend our gratitude to parents for your collaboration and support throughout the past year. It has been a busy year, but a fulfilling one. We look forward to more opportunities to grow together in 2020!
